- Confident in your idea
- Sure that your idea meets the brief
- Enthusiastic & passionate about the project
- Prepared. Your presentation and pitch should have a logical order (start, middle and an end)
- Ready to answer questions
You should include:
- The film idea and synopsis?
- The sub genre?
- The conventions of this genre? (Is there evidence of these conventions in your idea?)
- How you come up with the idea? What was the inspiration?
- Who are the main characters? What is their purpose?
- How are you going to make the film? What technical elements are you going to use and why? For example, why would you use a close up? What is the purpose of a scratchy sound effect?
- Who will the film be aimed at? What audience? How will you ensure it meets the BBFC rating? How will it appeal to young adults?
- How does your film meet the criteria requested in the brief?
- Why should your film be chosen? This is your last chance to sell your idea. Show your passion!
