Choose a large image for the background of your moodboard. Hold the shift key when you scale or reduce the size of an image. This will stop the image from stretching in one direction.
The next step is to drag the other images onto your moodboard. You may need to reduce them in size. If you wish to put a border around them then with the image selected click on the line tool and choose the line option.
To increase the size of the line then click on the 3 lines icon to the right of lines icon. Choose 4 or above. Finally, change the colour of the line by clicking on the crayon icon next to the line tool.
Now add some text so your mood board has a tile. Drag a textbox across the screen. Do not be scared to use a bold font. The colour must stand out so if is a dark background you should use white. Make sure there is a contrast. Decide where you want to position your text. Does it obscure any of the images? Make sure it is all in one line with no breaks as this will look better.
Before handing your work in for marking look at the example moodboard and ask yourself the following questions:
Remember, first impressions last. We want your work to look stylish to go along with the good content you will be including.
Extension Task:
Take this task 1 step further and explain to me What is your favourite type of horror film and why? Relate to specific films and sequences in your answer. Add images to illustrate your answers.
